I started making beads a few years back as a way to best utilize leftover space in my kiln - many beads can fit around large clay sculptures!  I have fallen in love with them. They remind me of seeds and pods. This image and form emerges in paintings, photography, sculpture and drawings as well. The name PEYOTE is in reference to the reverence for plant, pods and seed, as well as ethnic, tribal, primitive and whole earth
