October  after the Harvest   2008

Bend , Sisters  Oregon

"It is the artists mission to penetrate as far as may be towards that secret place where primal power nurtures all evolution...

in the womb of nature, in the primal ground of creation where the secret key to all things lie hidden"  Paul Klee

After the harvest, the feeling of ripe accomplishment pervades every sense.

I see myself  reflected in the ground of my doing and am offered joy.

I have been a good steward, earth rewards me to excess.

The sweet pungent smell of pears fill the bungalow and the racks are readied for drying,

the fires are lit,

and the dead of summer lofts up to perfume the October skies.

It is time to paint again.

White Sage Gallery Inn "There are some places that are the ideal places, where creativity flows and ideas come freely. Places where one feels palpably the promise of new beginnings. White Sage is one of those places. Nestled in the navel of the high desert surrounded by breath taking mountain peaks, it is a place where one feels one can breathe freely, relax and just be.
